Founder & Solutions Consultant
Dena Silver is the Founder and Solutions Consultant of RubricPort. The idea for RubricPort grew directly from her work as a Data Analyst in a College of Education, where she spent days—and sometimes weeks—manually manipulating assessment data and building data sheets and reporting structures from scratch.
As institutional assessment needs became more complex, Dena repeatedly found herself organizing, restructuring, cleaning, matching, and preparing data before meaningful analysis could even begin. Rather than continuing to work around inefficient processes, she began building a better solution.
Dena personally built RubricPort from that firsthand experience. The platform is designed around the real work of higher education assessment: maintaining institutional assessment structures, building and revising rubrics, aligning criteria and competencies with optional standards, validating relationships, analyzing results, and producing program-level reports and narratives.
Her work brings together higher education assessment, data analysis, process design, and software development with one practical goal: reduce repetitive manual work and help institutions turn assessment data into usable evidence more efficiently and consistently.

RubricPort is positioned as institutional assessment infrastructure rather than as an extension of one specific assessment platform. Supported import/export structures can be configured and tested for an institution's workflow.
